WHAT IS RENEWABLE ENERGY?

Renewable energy is made from resources that nature will replace, like wind, water, and sunshine. Non-renewable energy, like coal, natural gas, and oil, is mainly used to heat our homes or power our cars. Once these energy sources are all used, no more will be available.

Renewable energy is “clean energy” or “green power” because it doesn’t pollute the air or water. The most widely used renewable energy source for consumers is solar power as an electricity generator. The other two common types of renewable energy are wind and hydropower. Using more electricity generated from renewable energy will benefit your home and help the environment by releasing fewer waste products that pollute the air or disrupt the climate.
